Hello!
It's my day to post for Die-Versions, and I have been SO eager to work with my newest dies!
We received our Christmas dies last week, and oh my goodness - you are going to
want them all!  Today, I am working with three of the new dies...here's what I made:

Dies used were "Peace on Earth" Sweet Wordlets DVSW-043, "Snowflake Corner" Whispers DVW-399, and "Deer Ornaments: Whispers DVW-388.  All can be found in the Die-Versions store!

While you're there, be sure to check out the rest of the holiday release. I am
completely and totally smitten with this one!

Shadow Stamping

Happy Wednesday!
Today, I am super excited to be hosting the Mod Squad Challenge.
Any of you that know me well, know that I'm a lover of 'techniques', so my challenge
is to create something using the 'Shadow Stamping' technique.

Supplies Used:  Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 8, by Melanie Muenchinger, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White Cardstock (MY LAST PIECE - EEK!!!), Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Foam Dots, Kaiser Craft Pearls, A Muse Cardstock (Mat), Perfect Papercrafting Mini Rulers (see sidebar for details)

For my card today, I've used Melanie Muenchinger's 'Stately Flowers 8', which can be found at
Gina K. Designs. This set is gorgeous - I am totally in love with all of Melanie's flower sets, and her basket sets are amazing, too!  When I win the lottery, I shall own them all :)  This set was in my
mailbox this week - a gift from Melanie.  You should have seen my Post Office happy dance!
Thank you Melanie - you are so kind and generous!

If you have never shadow stamped, you will have fun with this.
Find a stamp that would look nice with a shadow.  Stamp it once in a darker color,
then stamp again, moving the image slightly, to create a shadow image.
If you are a visual learner, Gina has a great video on StampTV, showing this technique.
If you've ever been stumped on a monochromatic card challenge, this technique would be perfect!

Thanks for stopping by - hope that you will try this technique,
and play along with this challenge at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog!

Can't wait to see your creations!

Hugs & Blessings,
Patti J.

Is it August yet?

I know, I know....I was just complaining because someone 'stole' my week last week.
However, I can hardly wait!  There's going to be an amazing
blog hop...

with the Die-Versions team, and the Sparkle N Sprinkle team
in August.  Here's a sneak peek at some of the items that you just might see on this hop...

What could be more fun than Christmas stamps, Christmas dies, Embossing Powders, and GLITTER???
Hope to see you August 15th!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great week,
Patti J.

Nautical - Beach

Hi there!
Today's post is short and sweet, as I have some serious housework to do!

Impression Obsession's challenge this week is: Nautical/Beach.
I've not participated in a challenge for a while, so...
Thought I'd get this gorgeous stamp out, and create with it.
We had need of a sympathy card or three, and thought this would work well.

Impression Obsession 'Rowboat', Impression Obsession 'With Deepest Sympathy'  All coloring is sponged on using different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
I think this would be considered okay for the challenge - hope so, anyway!

Have a great day - hugs to all,

Patti J.

Someone stole my week....

It's Friday again. Really?
Time sure flies when one is retired!
Hope you are all planning a fun and relaxing weekend with friends or loved ones.
DH and I are going shopping tomorrow for 'wedding' wear for our son and future DIL's wedding
in September.  We are going to have a 'date'.  Love it when that happens!

Thought I'd share a couple of things that haven't made it out here yet!
Sometimes, we just need something very, very quick. That's what I am sharing today.
A bit of patterned paper, solid cardstock, and a couple of stamps - voila!

I have a friend who was having some bad days - feeling 'invisible' or not important.
There is a great blog, Ginger's House, that offers free sentiments nearly every day. Just when I
needed something to cheer up my friend, Ginger posted this.
Perfect!  Just like my friend!
If you've never been to Ginger's blog, you really should go! It's full of fun :)

Used my Perfect Paper Crafting Mini Rulers for the beautiful matting on each of these!
Check out my sidebar for details.

This is also a sentiment from Ginger.  Another friend had been in the hospital for over six weeks.
I thought this would be fun for her.  On the inside, I wrote something pretty sarcastic, like
'enough is enough' - we miss you, or something silly - don't recall exactly.
Whatever it was, it made her laugh - that's what mattered!

This next card has an image from an old Gina K. Designs set, that I still pull out when I need a coffee related card.  Again, the sentiment is from Ginger.  A grown man we know is going through a pretty tough
time.  He drinks coffee from sun up to sun down, and usually ends the day with a
glass of wine or cold beer.  He's a pretty good guy, a good Christian, and
this sentiment just had his name written all over it.

Thanks for stopping by, have an awesome weekend!
I'm hosting a fun challenge next Wednesday,
and I can't wait until Friday when I show you some beautiful things
from the Die-Versions Christmas release!!!

Hugs & lot of smiles...
Patti J.

Pretty Wings!

Happy Monday!
It's my pleasure today, to bring you a project created using the Die-Versions 'Pretty Wings'
butterfly die.  What a beautiful die to work with!

Die-Versions "Pretty Wings" Whispers DVW-383

I needed a very quick card, and immediately thought of this die.
Black and white is a timeless color combination, and the white on white theme is so popular now...
A strip of extra wide Washi tape, a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs, a few
pieces of black bling, and voila!

Be sure to check out the Die-Versions store - I know you want this butterfly, and...
there's a brand new Christmas release in the works!
Hope to share with you soon!

Hope you will also become a follower of the Die-Versions Blog!  We have a couple
of great blog hops scheduled in the next few months.  Just think of the
inspiration that two teams will bring!

Have a great day,
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks!

HAPPY SATURDAY!!!
Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start.
I'm spending the day in my girl cave - doesn't get any better than that :)

Recently, the Mister and I were invited to a pig roast.
It's an every 3 year event, with a crowd of about 250 folks.
We've never been able to get to one until this year....wow, it was such fun!  The Mister reconnected with folks he had not seen in years - some that went back as far as grade school.  And, as a result,
I got to meet folks he's known all his life.  The food was wonderful, and the dancing was fun too.

Since they are pig farmers, I thought we needed a suitable card, so I went straight
to my Doodle Pantry stash, and found this adorable, pre-colored Mud Piggy image and matching papers.
I added a tiny touch of Glossy Accents to his (her???) eyes. Everything was computer
generated, and went together in a jiffy!
Used my Perfect Papercrafting Mini Rulers for my awesome border...
Can you say 'Perfect"?

It's in the mail to them, and I hope they enjoy it!

Have a super weekend,
Patti J.

Good morning!

Good morning 'deer' readers!
Wow, where has this week gone? Can't believe that it's Thursday already.
I was looking at photos, and found a whole stash that I've not yet posted,
so thought I'd share one today.

You all know that I can, and do create with lots of fru-fru, at times.
But...there are times when we all need a 5 minute card.
This is one of those - seriously 5 minutes!

I had this pretty a|muse polka dot cardstock (which I love, as it's snow white on the back).
I simply folded the cardstock into a base, ran this beautiful Memory Box die through
my Cuttlebug, adhered the die cut, and stamped a sentiment.
Voila!

Hope you are all doing well!
Thanks for stopping by...

Hugs & smiles,
Patti J.

Pretty Wings...

Hello!
It's my day to bring you some Die-Versions goodness!

This card is made with the Die-Versions "Pretty Wings" Die.  This is one of the prettiest butterfly dies that I've ever seen, and was so excited to see it in my last envelope from Die-Versions!

This shot shows the card closed.  This is a 6 x 6 card base.  I've measured in from
each side about 1.5 inches, and cut up to the fold on the card base.  The flaps
on the sides were adhered to the card back, leaving only the center
as a fun little easel!
The small strip in the center is actually the "Crochet Lace" Die (DVW-322).
I've cut it out, and cut it in half, placing each half together, and covering the
seam with a ribbon scrap.  I totally LOVE this border die!
Die-Versions "Pretty Wings" Whispers DVW-383

Now, here's a view with the easel up.  Isn't that just the most fun?
The sentiment inside says "Wishing you a blessed & wonderful day".

Next up is a FUN and girlie card!  I've always LOVED shoes - wish my old feet would still
tolerate heels like these!  This die, "Shoe Collection", is so great - the set has every one of these shoes!
Of course, it can be cut apart if you want to use just one shoe, but as it's small, I just left it together,
punching a set of each color.

The sentiment on this one is computer generated.

This 'Diva' release was so much fun!  I can't wait to create with these dies again!
Hope you'll head over to the Die-Versions store and see what's new!
While you're out and about, check out the Die-Versions Blog - there's lots
of daily inspiration to be found there, by the DV Dynamo's!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.

Amazing Papers!

Happy Saturday!
Sure hope that your 4th was safe, and happy.

I was so lucky, to be chosen as a Guest Designer for The Paper Loft in June.
For those of you who know me well, June very nearly did me in.
I'm not sure I've ever had & survived a month quite like it!

The folks at The Paper Loft were so understanding and kind - they've allowed me
to go ahead and finish up my projects...so here are the last of my Paper Loft
creations:

This card would be perfect for that special daughter in your life.  All papers are from the 'Truly Scrumptious' Collection.  I've also used the 'Beautiful Girl' Accessory Sheet.  Twine is from my stash.  Mats are made using my Perfect Papercrafting Mini Rulers (Check out my sidebar for details!)

For that man in your life, this paper collection is wonderful!  This is from 'The Great Outdoors' Collection. Another 5-10 minute card!  Honest!

'On the Go' is this fun collection.  LOVED these paper patterns! The sentiment is cut from the 'Happy' Accessory Sheet.  The perfect mat is created with my Perfect Layers Mini Rulers! (See sidebar for details).

Last but not least...here's another fun card made with the 'Truly Scrumptious' Collection.  The sentiment is from the 'Birthday' Accessory Sheet.  To give you an idea, this sheet has EIGHTEEN words, pictures, etc., and the cost is ONE dollar!  Where can you beat ONE dollar?

This shows the card opened up.

If you have never ordered any of this beautiful Paper Loft paper, please give it a try!  It FEELS divine, it works up so beautifully, it's all double sided, and each collection has it's own accessory sheets - you
can truly have an awesome, 5-10 minute card!  I will certainly be ordering from them in the future!

You can follow The Paper Loft Blog HERE!!!
Be sure to take part in their challenges!  YOU could be their next Guest Designer!!!

Have a great day, and a nice weekend,
I'll be back on Monday with a fun creation for Die-Versions' newest release!

Smiles,
Patti J.
